How Do Makeblock Origin, Raspberry Pi "Relate" to Arduino?

They gave a Makeblock Origin board at the university , some sensors and a "chariot" on 4 wheels with raspberries, they said to figure out how and with what they eat it. Make the board control the raspberry or vice versa and make this design move in the programmed direction.
I'm not into robotics at all. I start reading and trying to figure it out.
So far, something does not fit in my head:
Arduino is the common name for the Arduino board complex and the Arduino IDE program. This complex has long been developed by teachers for the entertaining work of students, etc.
Makeblock is also a board, it has its own "IDE" called mBlock 5.
However, somewhere it says that Makeblock is an arduino and I managed to successfully run a standard example with a blinking LED from the Arduino IDE.
Arduino is like a separate independent board. However, Makeblock Origin is kind of like an Arduino too.
If yes, how is it to be understood?
The following points are not clear to me: what does "built on the basis of Arduino Uno" mean and what does "Full compatibility with Arduino" mean.
PS
I will not refuse links to Makeblock Origin guides in conjunction with raspberry ..

Full porridge. Makeblock Orion (correct name) is, in fact, two devices in one: the "core" of the device, which completely repeats the Arduino Uno, and the motor driver connected to it (as well as all sorts of little things like a tweeter).
Probably, the construction of wheels and Raspberry pi is self-sufficient, and can be controlled by itself. It makes no sense to connect it with another board (even less productive) based on Arduino.
