How do laravel 5 models work with jsonb type fields in Postgres?

Actually a question such, in a DB there is a table with a field of type jsonb. If in Laravel there is such a mechanism that allows you not to do manual processing of json? That is, when writing / reading from the model, do not do json_encode / json_decode every time?
