Look for the /admin/model/catalog/product.php file, in two places around lines 95 and 250 and comment out 2 lines out of 4 prntscr.com/befwtv
Now you will have only one-way communication between products, that is, product A will be recommended product B, and product A will no longer be recommended for product B.
if you already have extra links in the system (product B has a recommendation for product A), then you can comment out only one line, then the extra links of product A recommendations to product B will disappear the next time you edit the card.
