How do I manage the cassandra database?

Good day.
Such is the problem: there is absolutely nothing to manage the cassandra database. I have one server and another. I need to transfer a couple of records. Here's how do I do it? Where can I see information? Is there any case where cql interface to run with debian 6 equipped with gnome?

The problem is simpler - I had a prehistoric version from another repository.
