How do gaming platforms feel about software licensing?
Primarily interested in steam.
For example, if the game was made in a hacked (not licensed, in violation of the license, etc.) version of Unity?
Or were components/textures/technologies/software without licenses (cracked programs) used in the creation of the game?
This is not a clear violation of copyright - I took someone else's texture and used it in the game. It's about the licensing of development tools.
Of course, when you launch the game, it will be difficult to prove that the game was made using non-licensed software. In theory, it will be possible to assume that the animation is made in Spine 2D, the interface contains standard Photoshop effects - but this does not say anything about the license.
Do gaming platforms require proof of license for development tools?

Gaming platforms - do not require. But if there is income, then the same Unity can check the license.
The interface contains the standard Photoshop effects - but that doesn't say anything about the license.
