How do all blockchain nodes know about a new block?

This is not about those blockchains where there is a fixed number of master nodes, but about those where all nodes are peer-to-peer. In the same place up to a fig of knots can be. And everyone can make their own chain, in theory. How is it all regulated?
In simpler terms, it's about how broadcast / multicast is implemented between nodes.

This is regulated by the so-called. consensus algorithm. For example, in Bitcoin it is Proof of Work. How it works cannot be explained in a nutshell, so I will give a link to the article https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/cryptocurrency-co...
The network protocol is informally described here: https://developer.bitcoin.org/devguide/p2p_network.html
