How did VK get my real ip despite the VPN?
Today I changed the VKontakte password, it was necessary to log in again on the phone (android, I use the off. client). VPN was enabled on the phone (NordVpn servers, connection via the OpenVPN protocol, but after logging in, a message appeared in the notifications:
"An attempt was made to log into your account through the VKontakte application with IP XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (Country) ..."
The problem is that instead of XXX was my real ip and instead of the country - the real
country.Logged in again through the browser with the same VPN, from the same device - everything is fine.I open the list of sessions: Login through the Android application - real ip, login through the browser - VPN server ip. I checked everything again with another server - everything matches. Split tunneling is disabled.
How could this happen? Off. the client has learned to disable the VPN for the time of login and get data about the real ip?

The question is closed. It turned out that Split tunneling for VK was still enabled. I turned it on for a long time, but then turned it off, and although it writes in the application that everything was turned off, it was actually turned on (bug). I cleared the application data and everything works as it should now.
There are two options: either the official client put a bolt on a marginal under-VPN and uses a normal communication line, or the VPN itself only pretends that it exists.
