How clean is Windows 10 after a system reset?
Hello!
In my paranoia, I decided to get rid of viruses, the presence of which I am not sure, by restoring the system. Due to the unwillingness of a custom reinstallation and license release, I reset the system through the system settings (restore the computer to its original state). This process removes all files, data, settings, etc., but the system itself remains. That is, according to the system, it is "clean", like new.
But the paranoia in me sits strong. Could there be some dangerous viruses that settled in system files and remained there after such a reset?
I checked one system file that I changed myself - the hosts file, it is reset. But suddenly something didn't reset... Or are my fears meaningless and completely unfounded, and I can sleep peacefully?

The system in this mode is restored with a checksum-protected hidden partition. The malware has to be very, very, very cunning in order to get in there. So run the antivirus to calm down and close the topic.
