How can mac os remove the need to select a program window by clicking before working with it?
There are 2 windows open in one text editor in another browser.
I write the text in the editor, then I want to select the text in the browser
To do this, I bring the cursor to the beginning of the line, click and drag to select
But it wasn’t there, the text is not selected, but only the browser window itself is selected,
and to select the text I need to click again at the beginning of the line and pull
turns extra clicks that slow down.
But what if I need to shovel a whole book in this way.
These clicks take 20 percent of my time.
How to make it so that the window does not have to be selected before working with it? Well, as in Windows

Well, look, you are working in one application (focus on it) and then immediately select the line (you still have focus on the text editor), that's why you select the browser itself, you need to transfer focus to it or open it in work mode with 2 windows (if you have EL Capitan)
