How can I send a request to a telegram bot?

I need to send a request to an existing bot in a telegram, the bot is not mine. Is it possible to somehow interact with it through api, namely to press buttons and write text? It can be said that I need to work with the telegram itself, and not with the bot. Is there an api for client-side work?
