How can I make the "git help" command display help in the terminal itself?

I'm learning Git from Ilya Kanter's screencast. Here on this video:
He enters a command git help configand he has help right in the console, and it opens in a new browser window for me. Why is that?

Help.config is responsible for the output format .
But in the builds of git on Windows that I have seen, there are no man or info format viewers, so the output is set to html by default.
