How can I make it so that when changing the value of a variable in one script, the value of this variable changes in the same way in another script...?

I have a script for scoring, it weighs on the ball, and there is a script that weighs on another empty object, and if some object crosses this empty object, then the points will be reset, but as soon as I score the next point, the points will return to their previous form. For example, I scored 10 points, some object touched this empty object, the points became equal to 0, and then I scored another point and the points became equal to 11, not 1. How to make it so that when the points are reset, they start all over again?
