I made a sites folder in the Users/{username}/ folder, in which I put one project, and when accessing localhost, index.php from /sites/ is launched. I came from Windows, where in the open server I set the folder and gave the name of the host, after which, if I named the test folder, for example, and develop there, then when I access test / in the browser, the content goes. In general, the question itself is how to make sure that I have projects in different folders? Not only in localhost, but also in those where I want.
