How can I get new data from a database table in a telegram bot?

The task is that I add a list of goods to the database table from my web application, how can I track these additions from the telegram bot and select them? I thought about a loop that every 5 minutes will check the number of rows in this table, but for some reason it seems to me
not very correct

Write a small service on flask, next to the bot, make an API method that when they pull it means you need to request data, and when updating records in the database, just pull this method the same way and that's it
