How can I get and store a client's position?

Actually, I can’t figure out how to do this. I want to create a Telegram store that has a multi-level menu with a basket, so I need to somehow understand where the potential client is, because then I will have to find out what the client ordered, in what quantity.
Perhaps it should be done through the database or json, but I somehow xs how.
I also do not rule out that the question is impossibly stupid, for which I apologize, but I hope for your help

PS: if necessary, I can throw the code

If we put aside all artisanal methods such as saving user input to a notebook, then I recommend studying the aiogram library, namely FSM (state machine) .
But in general, of course, a database is needed, it is still a store.
