How can I force indexing of the image preview in the card for a specific page, and not the current one?

Case: there is a site with articles, let's take, for example, the article "Some article", at the bottom of the block "Related articles".
An example of a card from the "Related Articles" block:

<a href="/other-article">
  <img src="other-article.jpg" alt="Other article" />
  <h3>Other article</h3>
</a>

Google indexes images from this block, and in the search results we get that images from the "Related Articles" block are displayed for the query "Some article", although they do not belong to this article.

Variants of the expected result: either they are not indexed at all, or they are indexed, but are linked to the article to which this card leads. The most desirable second option, of course.
