How can I find out what is loading?

Google Chrome has several tabs open.
In all but one site icons are static.
In one it is visible that something is loaded. In the status line is the status "Waiting for ..."
And what exactly is expected - do not understand. There are no errors in the console.
How to see why? Something is being requested... but it can't load? Or are there other options?

In chrome, go to the developer tools, go to the network tab, refresh the page and see who is pulling the blanket.
99% of the time this is some kind of js loaded from some kind of cdn
