How can I compare the values of two txt or excel files?

A task for true connoisseurs, my system administrators are at an impasse.
There are two TXT files. Each line is a unique defined number.
You need to understand how many of these numbers in the two files match.

If the number of rows-digits in both files does not exceed the size of the Excel sheet, then you can simply copy both files into one column in Excel one after the other, select this column and execute Data -> Remove Duplicates.
On the pop-up window, you will be told how many duplicate entries were deleted, this will be the number of matched numbers.
