How can a designer apply programming skills in their work?

Hello!

It so happened that I like both areas - both design and development. I have good experience in mobile development for iOS, I know how to create websites and even know JavaScript a little. But still, I'm more of a designer than a developer. The visual component of the project rushes me more than any SOLID, sorting algorithms, architectural patterns (although no, architectural patterns still turn me on), and so on. I decided to go completely into design this year, but the desire to program doesn't let me go.

So, I have a question for you - as a designer, how can I apply development skills in my work? Yes, I can prototype ideas. Yes, I will be able to communicate with developers in the same language, as well as understand platform limitations when working on a project layout. Yes, I can sketch the animation myself and give the developers the finished code. And what else? Any ideas? (This understanding will help me to less torment myself with thoughts and calmly go into professional design and develop in this area.)

If you write "I like design" then you didn't have a real commercial design job, otherwise you would know what hell and taste it is, and would run away from design.

It seems like design is dead look how design is done in Lebedev's studio with just a neural network on demand in a second
