How can a beginner start building an online store?

Hello!
I am a beginner coder, I know html, css, some JS and I don't know php.
I have a task - to lay out an online store according to the layout. This is my first online store, and I have no idea where to start and what the stages of its implementation will be.
The store itself consists of:
- The main page, which displays the catalog;
- Baskets;
- Thank you window that appears after placing an order.
Actually, the questions are:
1. Is it worth using opencart for such a store?
2. If you do based on opencart, is it better to find a template that is as similar as possible and edit it?
3. Can you suggest any tutorials (articles, videos) on opencart 3, which cover the basics (Editing the template, filling with goods, connecting modules)
4. What stages would you break down the work with such a store?
5. How can I make the products in the catalog appear as a list instead of a grid?
6. What module should I use for the thank you window?
Also, any advice and comments that you deem appropriate are welcome)

If the task is to make up, then make up, why cms? If the task is to make it still work, and there is little knowledge, then yes, you can opencart
1. Opencart is perfectly configurable and it will not be difficult to integrate your layout.
2. If you are a beginner layout designer, is it a good decision to take a ready-made template? Make your layout, there will be something to show
3. Take any lessons on opencart. Versions are not fundamentally different. At least these 4.
Installation, tasks, layout, animation, etc., finished, tested, finished again, tested again, hosting
5. In the same default template, it is already implemented 5d4593fae5cbb937815281.jpeg
to finish it to your needs without difficulty.
6. In the same default everything is implemented. Tailor to your needs
