How are things going with distance learning in technical universities in Russia today?

I am already over 30, I still want to get an education, solely for the sake of my parents. They so wanted me to finish the university, but I could not continue my studies due to illness.
Interested in technical universities, with a contract basis.

There is a zaochka. You can go to some Omsk-Tomsk Polytechnic University for cheap and kick the bullshit from session to session. The problem is that for admission you need either the Unified State Examination, or no more than 5 years must pass from the moment of expulsion from the previous university (you can apply for a transfer), or some education must be received, secondary specialized or even primary, in any specialty. It stopped me at the time.
