How are services like deal.by arranged?

Good afternoon, I would like to clarify about the arrangement of services like deal.by (I believe that shopify and other similar services have the same principle). Namely, not part of the marketplace is of interest, but individual sites of registered users on internal subdomains (exampleshop.deal.by for example).
What is the principle of implementation there: the user registers -> a folder is created for him (which acts as a wild card of the domain) -> and here is the plug, do we copy the basic template of the online store into it or pass everything through one single template, and only upload files in the case of a unique design -> whether we create the necessary separate pool of tables in the database for the user or use one for all (well, here I'm more inclined to the second).
Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance :)

@mada

1 install wordpress, make multidomains and study the structure of the database
2 install opencart, turn on the multistore and study the structure of the database
3 folders are not created, files are not copied anywhere, there is one template for all (or different templates, but it is one, and one of them is selected for the subdomain .for 1000 subdomains there can be 5 templates to choose from).
4 yes, the table structure for each subdomain is unique (the default is copied), a prefix is added for uniqueness.
