How and with what it is necessary to start learning Drupal to become a professional in web development?
I recently started to get involved in computers and programming. I studied PC setup and now I'm interested in further development. I want to go into web development and eventually into application programming. But first I need to become a web pro. I already know a little about engines, and I noticed such a fairly powerful engine as Drupal. I would like to learn it well. Please advise where to start learning Drupal, what you need to know for this and at what level? Please advise some services or books so that I can start learning and practicing all this on my own.

I will share my story because in my opinion, it is ideal for answering the topic of the question (except that I have not even thought about starting to consider myself a professional yet)
My study of this cms began with the fact that I knew the elementary basics of php (and ActionScript3 was not useful in the future work plan) I came to work in a company which at that time was in dire need of a developer. All projects of the company were made on Drupal.
And then immediately into battle. On the second day of my work, I was given a long-awaited developer, heavy in terms of the amount of work (of course, the assessment was given at that time in relation to my knowledge in the field of development :) ) project. And the main advantage in that situation in terms of developing me as a drupal developer was that it had already become my job and not a home hobby that you can give up at any time. Whether I can do something or not, I have to do it.
And then htmlbook.ru, drupal.ru, drupal.org and stackoverflow.com came to the rescue, which I mercilessly googled for any questions I didn’t understand.
As a result, the project was handed over. Now, looking at him, I make a sickly facepalm.
But again, another plus of the fact that I worked in the company appeared. A couple of hours after the delivery of the first project - I was hung up in the development of the second project.
This time I had to dig into javascript/jQuery.
On the third project, I ran into CSS.
I do not want to say that this is all necessary to know Drupal. But it helps a lot.
If you are sure that you will develop in terms of Drupal - get a book .
In our office, it still lies as a desktop guide for all newcomers.
Dig php.net/manual/ru and api.drupal.org . Read articles by bloggers such as xandeadx.ru (or maybe mine if I ever find time to finish it and do content :D ).
Summing up all of the above, I can single out 2 main tasks for you in terms of developing both a Drupal developer and a web developer in general:
- Look for as many projects as possible to be constantly at work.
- Constantly develop your horizons and your knowledge. There is no limit to perfection.
first, learn how to create templates, learn CSS and JS (confident work with jQuery will be enough).
Personally, studying ready-made topics helped me a little. because they often use tricky and non-obvious things that are very difficult to understand from scratch.
for starters, take any simpler site template and implement the functionality of the site on Drupal.
After the third or fifth project, you will already have a lot of experience.
