How and where to analyze whether it is necessary to create a separate service (Instagram Clone)?
Good afternoon!
At the moment, I have assembled a prototype of a device that can be inserted into a telescope and using a phone to observe everything that is in the focus of the telescope. Simply put, this is a camera for a telescope. Now there is a need for an application for a mobile device. And I'm wondering what to do. Order a simple application where 1 screen and you can only save photos or spend a lot of money on creating an Instagram clone with only a slightly modified design for space.
Does it make sense to produce another social network? Or does all the "movement" on Instagram make no sense to donate strength to create a clone?
Are there any sites with surveys where this can be found out?

The first thing any living person will ask after taking a mimimi photo with a telescope is "How the hell do you put this on Instagram to get likes?"
The expediency of the site is determined by the presence of the audience. How many people (astronomers) exist (will exist) who own a telescope and your device. Next, you need to solve the main problem of promoting social networks: why users should go to your site if their friends are not there: this requires a formed community, additional functions from the site (for example, a starry sky with tagged photos). If there are still far from thousands of potential visitors, you need to evaluate the possibilities of monetizing such an audience.
