Home server?

Task
I'm going to set up a home server for my blog on my engine.

Previously, I had experience only with a LAMP-server based on Ubuntu. What is better to use? What manuals to read? We need to get an opinion.

What are your server requirements? than the Apache does not suit ubuntu?
Just what you need for a blog.
Take more time to better configure the firewall

@inkvizitor68sl

debian.pro/?s=lamp
debian.pro/?s=nginx
In particular, start with these - debian.pro/147 and debian.pro/225

Think it over well.
I was also going to put a server at home, I read and read,
as, for example, one friend’s mother caught fire under load.
I use a virtual server, now you can
get it very inexpensively on cloud hosting, and less headache.
Good luck!

To develop your own engine (as I understand it doesn’t exist yet?), it’s better to use Denver first . When you have completely made the “engine”, assemble the server yourself for public use, based on the needs of the engine.
But I am deeply convinced that for the first time the minimum-average tariff plan of many well-known hosting companies will suffice.
