Hmm... another question about iOS?

Suddenly, a clipping caught my eye:

Apple's iPhone platform provides a set of interesting features for developers. Thanks to their small size and interactive touch screen, the iPhone and iPod Touch have become popular among millions of users in a fairly short time. However, the innovative design of devices and the closed platform create new challenges for application developers. Until Apple releases its Software Development Kit (SDK) in February 2008, programmers will be forced to create Web applications that mimic the original iPhone interface.
Fortunately, there is a set of open source libraries that make this task easier. In particular, the iPhone Development module, created by Aptana for the Eclipse environment, is able to generate project files and preview iPhone applications in a special rotated interface window. Also worth checking out is iUi, a cascading style sheet (CSS) and JavaScript framework created by Joe Hewitt that contains many interface elements and pages that emulate the look and feel of iPhone applications.

Who can comment on this?
Does this mean that you can write in eclipse?

There are pages on the aptana website that say that they have such a plugin, but now I looked, in the Windows version I don’t have it, only AIR, so apparently not, maybe there is such a plugin for macOS

Assumes web applications. The fact is that before the release of a full-fledged SDK, the only way to write for the iPhone was to create specialized web pages that were rendered by Safari in full screen mode, imitating a full-fledged interface. An example of such an application is the NinjaRopes Extreme game .
After the release of the SDK and the emergence of the ability to write "native" programs, web applications were actually forced out.
Regarding development for iPhone on Windows, there was an article on Habré “Development for Mac OS X and iPhone / Experience in developing an application for iPhone under Windows”, but now it is not available, so I give a link to another resource . I can't say anything about development opportunities on other platforms.
