Higher education: evening vs distance

Good afternoon. I am 26, I have an academic certificate in my hands stating that I studied 3 courses somewhere in Dagestan, in my soul there is a great desire to get a diploma of higher education. The first thing that came to my mind was the idea of evening training, somewhere like MESI . Having climbed the Internet, I found one interesting site of the Moscow Institute of Technology . Something there really interested me, especially the possibility of remote learning . After thinking about it for 10 minutes, I decided that, in principle, the technical base for remote learning has been around for a long time, but I don’t know anyone who would get a tower remotely. Googling a little, I found more institutions with distance learning ( here and here), but the sediment of some distrust still did not pass.
On this occasion, a question for you: Do any of the Khabrovites have anything to do with remote learning? What is your experience and what would you recommend? If everything is sad, then what can you say about evening education? Or rather, where can I go to full-time part-time education?

PS: Location - Moscow. Thanks in advance, any comments are welcome.

My examples, of course, are very humanitarian, but since you said that “to any comments”:
My relative studied remotely as a theologian at PSTGU, if I’m not mistaken. She liked the process. At times it was very stressful, because of the high workload, it didn’t come to a diploma, but she was still satisfied. There were various online conferences, real-time controls, etc. Of the obvious drawbacks, only the need to install IE, otherwise their site did not work.
And my sister is studying at the evening psychology faculty of Moscow State University. Lectures, seminars, session - everything is like in the "diaries". Teachers even say that they like evening parties more (students are more mature and conscious). But study comes after work, many no longer have the strength to keep their attention at lectures.
It seems to me personally that live communication with teachers, and more importantly, with students, plays a decisive role. I would advise the evening department of the native VMK of Moscow State University, or Mekhmat. I studied at the FZI RSUH for two years - it’s not bad there either, if there is a desire to study.

There is no better than ordinary training in classrooms ("at the desks"), IMHO. For live communication with the teacher plays a big role in the assimilation of the material. And sitting at home via the Internet (often distracting - TV, friends, neighbors, cat, UFO, etc.) is not serious.

I am at the second higher MSTU. I study Bauman, of course, this is not quite evening classes, but classes in the evenings and teachers say that they used to work with evening parties instead of us.
I can only say about my university and faculty (IS) - the second tower does not provide a normal level of knowledge, it was not even close to basic education. This is not only about a shortened program (after all, I get a bachelor's degree, not a specialist), but also about attitude - when teachers see that a person each time comes to class a little late and out of breath - he understands that it’s not easy to work right away after that study. Therefore, most of the subjects are not only handed over for free, they also teach carelessly.
In my situation, when in this specialty I only need a crust, I am still satisfied - it is more difficult to force myself to work remotely. I wouldn’t have problems with self-study and perseverance - I would prefer to study remotely (if I could). And so at least at lectures I think about the subject (for example, I study from books, sitting at lectures).
Therefore, do not expect that in any case you will get the same experience and amount of knowledge as in the full-time department, but if there are no problems with self-study, I would choose distance learning. Any less time to lose. It is especially important if you study in IT-related specialties - there are a lot of materials on the Internet, you just need to read read read.

I am currently studying remotely at SurSU. Specialty: POVTiAS.
The university is quite a state university, so there is no mistrust. In addition, the training itself is built on the all-Russian portal openet.ru.
In fact: they send the plan for the semester for soap, the portal contains educational materials, and methodological instructions for completing tests, as well as tests (in some subjects). You complete the tests, it is sent to the methodologist for soap, the methodologist sends reviews. The portal has a page "progress" with grades.
They also promised virtual laboratory work, but for two years (2-3 courses) I never saw them. Same with video conferencing...
I went to Surgut only to conclude an agreement (although this, as it turned out, is not necessary), so I will only have to come to defend my diploma (maybe also for the state, but I was told that only for a diploma, so it’s possible that the state will be removed to surrender , which I doubt a bit).
Upon completion of training, a diploma of higher education obtained through correspondence courses is issued.
And yes, there is no session as such: I received assignments and material - do it and hand it in when you want before the end of the semester. Well, the cost is certainly lower - I pay 27 thousand for the academic year ...

In terms of the quality of knowledge, distance learning is better, because you have to study all the material on your own, hence the best assimilation

It is very important to clearly understand why you need education, for the sake of a diploma or knowledge. In order not to regret the time and nerves spent later.

If you go for a piece of paper, then it doesn't matter. If for knowledge, then you need to try very hard to get them in the evening or remotely in the same volume as in the daytime.

Why do you need education? If you need a diploma, then it’s easier to buy in the transition. If you really want to learn, go abroad and study in the same USA at some good university
