Hiding the Back to Top Panel via HabrAjax. + question, do I need to hide HJKL key features in scripts?

Post-question - for a completely petty reason: hiding unsuccessful (from the point of view of some users) features of the site. (If people oppose, the post will be hidden.) But raises the issue of reactions to unsuccessful features of the site.
Now in the last 2 days the “Up” button has been appearing and disappearing. This is not even a button, but a large control field that appears on the left if you hover over this place with the mouse. Appears when the page is scrolled slightly down. The essence of the problem and inconvenience is here: Get rid of the "Back to Top" panel? .
For information: to hide the "Go to the top" button without additional scripts, in Stylish you need to create a user style for Habr with the line Immediately upon its appearance, in ZenComment user styles
.to_top{display:none!important}
it was minimized because it clashed with styles, blocked the ability to comment on root comments in articles.
A couple of days later, it was noticed that it was removed from the articles altogether, a little later - that it was removed from the site and from the feeds. Now - again appeared in the tapes.
Since it turned out to be very inconvenient for some users (an example is the QA question " Get rid of the "Scroll to top" panel? "), the setting 'hide the "Scroll to top" field '.) has been added to the HabrAjax script since version 0.858.
Placed this setting turned off, at the bottom of the settings. In this regard, the questions are:
1) should new features that are critical for the site be placed in a more conspicuous place? For example, temporarily at the top of the settings list?
2) Is there enough information in the new version notification for HabrAjax users?
3) is it necessary to crush other unsuccessful features?
On the 3rd question - about 2 weeks ago there was another sabotage feature: site navigation triggered by the H, J, K, L buttons. And at the same time - the C button and an error when Ctrl-C triggered - scrolling to the comment field. For registered users, it’s good that this “feature” can be disabled. For those who are not registered or logged out, there will be an inconvenience - unexpected operation of these buttons when accidentally pressed or when searching without entering Ctrl-F in Firefox. (Details: " How not to choose hotkeys "). Therefore, the next question is:
4) are there any inconveniences from the keyboard features of the site? Do I need to disable them in HabrAjax?
True, this question is addressed to unauthorized people, and they would not be able to read this article if there is at least one offtopic among the hubs. Therefore, I excluded offtopics from the hubs (habrahabr, closet). Moderators are requested not to install offtopic hubs for this question on their own, without the intent to hide the question from the rest of the world.

If hotkeys were reassigned to more convenient and obvious buttons (for example, num(2 4 6 8) ) and the top button was made instant and without animation, then for example, I would use them with pleasure.
And in general - why cut out? doesn't seem to interfere

It would be better if someone sawed out an idiotic streamer on top of corporate hubs. And at the same time colored backgrounds in corporate hubs.

Maybe under the button / bar "top" select only the upper part, and not the entire band?
Then it would be possible to add something else there, for example, to return the transfer of the comment update button. By the way, is it possible to somehow increase the refresh button? Maybe make it with the inscription on the side?
Thank you.
