Hiding index settings in grafana+elastic output?
Good afternoon.
During tests on the introduction of such a tool as Grafana into the system, we found out that in order for Grafana to gain access to elastic data, the user assigned to work with Grafana with Elasticsearch must be given the "view_index_metadata" privilege, which gives the following capabilities: Read-only access to index metadata (aliases, aliases exists, get index, exists, field mappings, mappings, search shards, type exists, validate, warmers, settings, ilm).
The problem is that this privilege covers too many index settings. I would like to know why Grafana sees aliases, mappings, some intimate index settings (such as the number of shards, replicas, etc.). Also, I would like to know if it will be possible to hide extra fields from the output of information if the user has this privilege?
