Hide or delete an entry on deletion?

Here such question arose.
Essence - to delete or not to delete the announcement of the user.
For example, a user has multiple ads. he can indicate whether it is relevant or not.
At the same time, I doubt whether to allow the user to completely delete the ad, or just mark that the ad is archived?
If you allow me to delete a message, then I'm afraid of losing traffic.
If you prohibit deleting, then I can get into a possible misunderstanding on the part of users. + the base will grow faster.
how would you do?

For loaded databases, deleting a record is not a very good operation, because. leads to data defragmentation.
So it's better to hide the + in any case you have user information that can be applied anywhere and in any way. Those. from the position of informativeness, it is better to never delete anything at all, but only hide it from the user (with or without the possibility of recovery).

I don't think it's worth deleting. It is better to let the user see the history of the ads that he has given.
