Hetzner threatens what to do?
4 months ago there was a server in hetzner, and I scored on it and just stopped paying (thinking that, like everyone else, they will simply cancel the service for non-payment), and today I go to the post office and see that I was billed for 1000+ euros, for the server, from which I deleted the OS, and even turned it off so that it just didn’t work for them for the last 4 days! Now they write they say they will pass me on to the hetzner collectors. So, has anyone experienced this? And what to do in general, is it worth being afraid? They are in Germany, and I am in Ukraine.
By the way, I searched for court decisions in Russia, and there was not a single lawsuit on behalf of hetzner, only in their direction, and then on copyright.

If you are not going to Europe - so far it's okay.
But with Ukraine's accession to the EU...
Say I didn’t find the “unsubscribe” button and turned it off as best I could. Say that for the time when I used everything was paid. Say that you will sue them for fraud - they themselves "turned on" the server, hung services.
you need to check the mail, after all, they send invoices every month and write alerts that the payment did not go through,
but you can always get lost and not pay
and pay later when you need to
It is necessary not to turn it off, but to request cancellation of the service (Cancellation) in the robot panel, otherwise you are using the server, it does not matter whether it was turned on or not, it was at your disposal.
And where did you show your passport data? In principle, in cases of which you can pretend to be a fool, like you don’t know about any server. Although I don’t think that there will be any consequences at all, they won’t file you with Interpol. :)))
On the one hand, you did not pay for the service provided to you and still have to pay.
On the other hand, if you are not going to Europe, then you can act dishonestly and save money. And even if you are going to, then most likely everything will work out.
