Header font, how to reduce number of characters for fast loading?

There is a font which is loaded locally. A limited number of characters are used. I read somewhere that you can clean and leave only used ones. How can this be implemented? Could you tell me if there are more humane ways?

Go to the squirrel. Specify what specific characters you need and click the button. Get your stripped down font.
There are no more humane ways. I really don't see any reason to do anything at all. Font in woff2 format weighs 40-80 kb on average. Not so much. woff2 is supported by most modern browsers. Well, let the rest download ttf, since they can't update their browser.
