Having trouble converting a document to a brochure?

I made a test document consisting of paragraphs, everything works fine:

but when setting the Brochure for the document to be printed:

as you can see from the screenshot, the sample does not change and after setting all the fields to 2 cm each, when you click OK, the following flies out:

What is the problem here?
