I want to make a language based on Lua. There is a moon script, but it's still not what you need. There is also Typed Lua, which I will definitely try.

BASIC parsing on a crooked lex script is not needed. How will you push the entire technology stack into your language? DB, networks, mat-libraries and so on. What is the "fatal flaw" of lua that would make everyone drop it and run to you? A programming language can be created in a week, but pushing technology into it and promoting it is another matter.
