Have you also noticed that there are a bit too many articles in the drafts?
You come in the evening, turn on RSS and 10% of the articles are already in drafts. But interesting ones come across, judging by the headlines.
Is this a new trend or am I missing something?

Maybe, seeing where the rating of the post and the karma of its author are heading, the latter decides to save what can still be saved - and hides the “source of irritation” of the downvoters? I know of at least a couple of live examples.
Why are they removed? People are minus, so they are removed.
The answerers are right. You publish a post and update your profile with karma every five seconds. Creeped down - the article in drafts. There is no desire to publish anything else.
Do not immediately poke posts. After the publication, the primary reaction is the drain of karma and fasting.
This is how I published a non-core post - I congratulated the ladies of Habr (and not only) on March 8. In the first couple of hours, both karma and fasting were minused. But in the end, at least the post got out for +40.
And in general, the purpose of writing a good technical article? Share knowledge or fill pluses? Yes, it’s unpleasant when they leak it - but don’t hide useful articles (and here there are useful, but minus ones). People will be able to find the information they need and solve their problems thanks to you.
I add g cache: in the address bar before the address and open the original, thanks to Google.
And what, with negative karma and not to write in QA? Yesterday I tried /qa/add/ - page not found.
A number of posts are hidden by UFOs, along the way the author's ban for swearing / advertising (other violations of Habr's rules). Recently, I have noticed that the repression has become tougher. Maybe they changed the moderator or just decided to “tougher” follow the rules.
