Hardware identification in zabbix?

how best to identify a piece of hardware in zabbix (servers in the data center that are constantly loaded for different needs, from different axes), so that if, for example, it changes IP, axis, monitoring of its main indicators (utilization of CPU, memory, temperature, lan) does not stop
on the mind only IPMI comes, and the IP of this interface is hard-wired to the poppy on the router.

@athacker

And how did you intend to monitor the CPU and LAN load through IPMI? :-)
In general, in the 3rd Z, in my opinion, it does not even look at the IP of the server. And if all checks are active, then when you change the IP, the data still continues to be collected. The main thing is that the hostname in the configs matches the one specified in the host settings on the Z server.

now, while there is no explicit hostname in the zabbix agenta config (since up to 100 machines can be loaded from this image at the same time)
, scalability has not yet been thought out, I pull out available hosts manually from "discovery" by monitoring network pools.
the fact that by IPMI there is no way to monitor the indicators I need - you know, but whether the piece of iron is alive or not - you can set the dependency (this is the main task, using temperature sensors, cpu voltage.
In general, one more task follows - to organize automatic connection of the agent to the server (if no node then create)
