HAproxy protection from ddos/scans?
Recently we encountered a problem - either scanning or ddos is happening from a certain IP - it's not clear yet - the number of sockets on the HAproxy server has reached the limit and the site has crashed. Well, we certainly raised the ceiling from 4K to 200K, but this is not a solution. How to cut this problem? How to diagnose correctly? I tried to take settings from the docks to protect against slowlories and http flood, but this is something else.
