Habrahabr counter under habra effect - 504 Gateway Time-out (/viewcount/post/N/)?

Am I the only unlucky one, or does everyone else also have problems loading topics because of a script supposedly for counting views, which is located in the middle of the page and crashes with 504 Gateway Time-out?
Actually, this disgrace is located immediately after the body of the topic:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://habrahabr.ru/viewcount/post/N/"></script>

where N is the topic number.
It’s not even so much 504 that annoys me (well, you never know what got sick there), but the location of the call to the counter script in the middle of the page. Comrades, don't do that! Executing a script stops page rendering even if the script is not hanging. Counters should be at the bottom, ideally with a defer attribute.
The script was cut out, now the topics will have one less views. All statistics are down the drain. :(

Yep, it looks like it. For probably a week now I have noticed that sometimes the page is rendered until the end of the post and that's it.
