It looks like everyone. Innovation? Previously, IMHO it was better, wider ... more sincere
I would like your problems. I have 1024x768, I didn't notice anything. I want a big monitor.
In my opinion, with the change in size, Habr lost its style and in appearance became “another blog” :-(
In protest, I suggest logging out and not logging in until they fix it :(
Unusually, but with such a compact output, it became more convenient (for me) to read.
As a web designer, I love fixed and centered design, but habr is sacred! Bring back tires :-)
Habrabosses, please satisfy the users of large monitors, we immediately felt bad :(!
it is generally impossible to read on a wide monitor now, if only they would make margins then some kind of chtoli
Would make a separate setting in the profile. Or should I now put separate styles for habr in each browser? There is no way.
Perhaps this will have a bad effect on my karma, but as for me, it has become better. No need to drive your eyes over all 1920 px. The only thing I would like is to somehow separate the text from the fields, otherwise it really hangs in the air (:
Damn... I didn't even notice... They'll make 13.3 laptops...
It's unfortunate that the maximum width is specified in pixels . But it is necessary - in em - so that when the font size is changed (by means of the browser or at the system level), the length of the line remains more or less the same.
Habr technologists: the current pixel value (1200px) of the maximum width corresponds to the value 100em .
Making the background gray on the sides would also be helpful.
I open the hub, I look at the fixed width, I reloaded the page three times, I thought the browser was blunt, but it turns out not. :-)
At first it caused furious discomfort and indignation, and then I corrected my greasemonkey to the “as it was” state.
To whom it is narrow, for those in the browser there is a button "increase".
Probably soon there will be userjs|usercss plugins for browsers that remove the max-width for the header and #wrapper :)
I don't think it's time to optimize your site for 1024 pixels wide. Bring back tires!
Are you reading Habr at 100% scale? I envy your eyesight ...
I didn’t notice anything at all with a scale of about 150%, it just stretches completely to 1920.
at 27 inches it hurts the eye unrealistically. Previously, only VKontakte (especially the main one without a login) looked like a blot, now the habr is in white shrouds
but I liked it in 1920, but the wide stripes along the edge are not cool, but the idea itself is not bad :)
In general, opinions were shared, so it’s not clear - well, what prevented you from making an option in your account ??? One button "static" / "rubber" and that's it! Let guests see by default. But zaregany can be given the opportunity to use the way it was for a very long time?
Well, if there is something for chrome and opera, there is a habrafix, which from the first day returns this muck to its original positions
Yes. Reading has become easier - definitely. Just make the fields - it will be super (I read at 1600x ...).
