Gulp 4.0.0 - Should it be implemented in projects?

Hello.
I observe an interesting situation with the new Gulp 4 : it seems to be out, but not all module developers are in a hurry to write documentation for the new syntax, preferring the latest version of the 3rd branch. And npm itself is in no hurry to install version 4 by default. Should I implement the new syntax and install npm i [email protected] in projects, or can we wait with this until the package managers offer to use gulp 4 by default?
Help deal with the situation.
