Group selection of layers in the layout Is it possible?

I use: Photoshop CC 2015. Everyone knows that you can go to the desired layer by pressing ctrl + rclick. That you can select multiple layers by holding shift + lclick. Tell me if I can select an area in the layout (for example, with the “rectangular area tool”) or select all the layers in this area with some manipulations, I was shown how to do this once (but unfortunately I don’t remember), I climbed the floor of the Internet, I didn’t then. Last resort toaster).

Select the move tool (v), hold down shift and drag on the layout over the desired area, all layers that fall into the area will be selected.
In the above drop down menu, "layer" must be selected and the first time the movetool is clicked, there must be no object under it, otherwise it will move it. If there is no object, it will select layers.

Yes, you can, choose a selection tool and do it like on the screen joxi.ru/YmENpDWfZLnaL2
And rejoice. And you can immediately select all the layers with a simple selection.
