GPS tracker in the car?
Good afternoon! Please advise a GPS tracker that could be put on a car and receive data from it, at least coordinates every couple of seconds.
I understand that for this you need to write a socket server. This is not a problem ...
at the moment I don’t quite understand how to receive data from such a tracker and write it to the database?
I myself am a front-end developer, I just want to visualize this data.
I do not need a tracker that already has its own application for ios / android, I want to write this application myself. It is necessary that it is simple that the data came.
I would be grateful for any advice on this.

I solve a similar problem: trackers + visualization.
Trackers turned out to be a whole zoo - the simplest Chinese ones, sending data in a simple, understandable text. I can recommend two successful (tested for years in operation) models: TLT-2H, GTR-128.
Once every two seconds, none of the trackers I know sends data. Two seconds is redundant for any (except for very exotic) tasks.
To receive coordinates, nodejs was first used, then we switched to a self-written server written in python.
With the visualization is still tight. There is a sample - an almost perfect (for my taste of course) interface can be peeped on the gpshome service, but has not yet mastered it to reproduce ...
