Googlebot knocks on the image directory and gets a 403 error. What to do?

There is a site on CMS Prestashop.
Product images are stored in the directory https://site.com/img/p/.....
The url structure is as follows:
https://site.com/img/p/4/6/0/6/0/46060 -home_default.jpg
Where 46060 is the product id
Images are available at this address and open normally in browsers and google bot.
But, for some reason, Googlebot is also constantly trying to scan the directories in which the images are located:
https://site.com/img/p/4/6/0/6/0/
And, it gets a 403 error.

How can this problem be solved?
Why does Googlebot knock on directories without specifying an image file?
There are no such links anywhere on the site and in the sitemap ...

Perhaps in the past the site was infected with a virus and fake photos were posted at non-existent addresses. Links like this stay on Google for a very long time. I advise you to write to Google Search Console technical support and ask them to remove all such links from the index.
