Google.play: "Not supported on your device"?

There are applications in Googleplay: one and two (I suspect that everyone else of this author has the same problem).
When I go through google play from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (P-5100) with CM 10.1 (Android 4.2.2) I see the inscription that "Not supported on your device." Neither I nor, most importantly, the author can understand the reasons for this. The author says that he was informed that the ASUS Transformer is the same. So tablets are suspect.
Can anyone suggest what's wrong?

The author understood. Here is the quote:

I think I solved the tablet incompatibility issue. It looks like Google Play is finally enforcing apps that do not declare xlargescreen support as incompatible with tablets.

The main parameters that determine whether the application is available in the market:
1) ro.build.fingerprintis written in /system/build.prop
2) Device capabilities: these are xml files in a folder /system/etc/permissions
3) Well, did the author limit the distribution of applications in a particular country
Since you have custom firmware, it is possible either point 1 or point 2 is not configured correctly. Compare with the original firmware, correct, check, send the patch to CM :)

The only reason why this message appears is that there are features in the application requirements that are not available on your device. For example, GPS receiver, accelerometer, Internet access, etc., etc. Or the Android version.
It is possible that the data in your account was somehow corrupted. You can try creating a new Google account and adding it to your device. Then enter Google Play through it (on a computer) and try to send the desired application to your device.
Where and how all these parameters are registered and how they are set, I have not been able to find out. I have a "homemade" CarPC, there is an Android device in which external GPS is added via USB. No matter how I fought, no matter how I corrected the firmware, I still could not convince Google Play that a GPS receiver appeared in my device. Neither Yandex.Maps nor Google.Navigation are shown to me on Google Play, although if these programs are installed as APKs, they work great. Although Google.Navigation disappears after a reboot, only Google.Maps remains.
In general, device properties are specified in build.prop. But his editing did not lead to anything.

I met a “cute” feature from one of the popular live wallpaper manufacturers: the application is not installed if the device is rooted.
"Hi,
Our app is not able to download to rooted device. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Best Regards,
App4Joy "
It is unlikely, of course, that this is the same case, but there was a precedent, as they say.

Google Play has the ability to manually turn off certain devices. Apparently the author did just that, if he says that there are problems on the tablets.

Says my Galaxy Note 10.1 is supported. Either the author has already fixed it (I got on application versions (both suspiciously the same) 3.2.4 dated 06/03/13), or Cyanogen is misleading the installer, reporting exotic data about the system.

Not your case, but I'll add the info: I accidentally found out today. Google Play may not allow you to install applications or not show them if your device has a non-standard screen density (DPI) set in build.prop.

I got a Chinese phone with the same problem. The first time I ditched the firmware by editing the build.prop file
The reason why some applications were "unsupported" through Google Play turned out to be quite banal:
There is a handheld_core_hardware.xml file in /system/etc/permissions, it contains what is on the device. For some reason, the Chinese commented out 2 lines there:

<!--<feature name="android.hardware.location.network" />-->
  <!--<feature name="android.hardware.sensor.compass" />-->

All that had to be done was to remove the comments and that's all, such applications that depend on these parameters are successfully installed from Google Play
PS After you make the changes, do not forget to clear the cache of the Google Play application

I can’t turn on Google fields, it says it’s not supported on your device. What’s the reason?
