where does google play music download music to?
I then if I want to put my song on the ringtone, then through the explorer when I go to the Google Play Music folder. it's empty there...?

It caches either to internal memory: /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music/ or to device memory (requires root) /data/data/com.google.android.music/. Moreover, the file names will be without the name of the artist / title.
