Google Maps API v3 - accessing route markers

Is it possible to somehow access the route markers (those that are green with letters) or waypoints to delete them, for example, or call the context menu? I couldn't find anything similar in the API reference.

Isn't it code.google.com/intl/ru-RU/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/services.html#Directions , in particular the "Draggable Directions" section?

Probably the only solution to this problem is to turn off the display of standard green markers and use your own, with tricky drag&drop and other perversions.
