Google chrome has become a full screen application. How to remove?

Google chrome is suddenly embedded in windows 8.1. Became like an OS. It is very inconvenient to work. Especially when you hover over tabs. The top pop-up google chrome (black at the very top) pops up and interferes terribly. How to remove this mode? Is there a way to revert everything back to the old way?

In the menu there is a button "Relaunch Chrome in desktop mode".
