When you click on the extension icon, the popup is dropped, but when you click on an area of the site, the popup is closed.
Question: how to prevent the popup from closing when clicking on another area in the most optimal way? That is, I need the popup to remain open even if I click on the site area, and close it only on demand (with the "Close" button) or when the page is reloaded.

As far as I know this cannot be done.
