Google Chrome constantly slows down, what is the reason?

I have a few questions:
1. Why can he slow down? The computer is not weak, i5, 750 geforce, 6 GB of RAM..
2. Every now and then there are advertisements on the sites. In those places where it should not be in principle.
How and with what can you check for "left" extensions, and find built-in banners, and remove them?
Tell me please. Thank you.

If banners pop up where they shouldn't be, then it's clearly malware.

1) Clean for viruses (I personally hate antiviruses, but once a season I can force myself to install, clean and delete)
2) About the worms in the label - I fully support, in addition to the label, I advise you to look at what add-ons you have installed, sometimes they are to blame .
3) Install adblock for your chrome
4) Think about opera \ fox, of course chrome is convenient due to being tied to an account, and it eats less resources, but I still prefer FireFox (probably due to a fire bug) although it's a matter of taste of course...
