Google Apps for domain and website?
I want to set up (gmail, calendar) for my domain,
but this domain is already linked to a website hosted in amazon ec2
i.e. i want to have mail [email protected] and still leave [www].mydomain.co.uk is it possible?
what records will need to be made in dns

No, it shouldn't. Unless some registrars extort money for editing MX and CNAME records. Hope yours isn't one of those.
Of course available! You need to make MX records for mail and CNAME like calendar.mydomain
Don't touch the A records for the main domain (@) and the www subdomain.
Google will tell you the rest of the necessary records when adding a domain and setting up services.
Here are the mail entries .
For a calendar, documents, etc., it is enough to write something like this: CNAME calendar ghs.google.com
